Introducing virtual STEM Days with The Works Museum!

Join us on select weekday afternoons as we facilitate hands-on STEM workshops for your young engineers. Each week, we’ll focus on a different topic or project, and provide all of the materials via curbside pickup. These activities are suitable for kids ages 5-12, but keep in mind that younger children may need occasional assistance from a nearby helper.

How does it work?

When you register for your workshop, you’ll select a day/time for curbside pickup. *Curbside pickup will take place at our temporary office space in Bloomington. Look for an email with pickup instructions after you register. A few days before your selected class, you’ll receive an email with a Zoom link that you can use to join the virtual classroom. After that, we’ll keep your young engineers engaged and entertained with hands-on learning.

Curbside Pickup Options:

  • Tuesdays (1/26, 2/9, 2/23): 12-1 p.m.
  • Thursdays: 5-6 p.m.
  • Fridays: 12-1 p.m.
  • If you cannot make one of these dates, please contact our staff and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What will I need to provide?

Kids will need access to a computer or tablet, a desk or table space to work on projects, and a few common household items such as scissors, a writing utensil, or a ruler. A list of household items will be sent to you ahead of your camp.

Each participating child must be registered separately.

The Works Museum makes the safety and enjoyment of all campers a top priority. We recognize that virtual classes create a different environment than in-person camps, and have adjusted our behavior policy accordingly.

The Works Museum reserves the right to cancel STEM Fridays in the event of low enrollment, illness, etc. In the unlikely event that a camp is canceled, parents will be notified and will be given the option to switch to another session.

Registration for STEM Days is closed.
