Get a taste of all the tools in our makerspace, The Workshop. Try your hand at woodworking, soldering, and Arduino programming to create a LED light up sign to take home.

Learn what it takes to design museum exhibits. Collaborate to design and construct an interactive experience for kids to explore at The Works Museum.

Spend a week exploring tools and textiles in our makerspace, The Workshop. Learn to use a sewing machine and stitch together circuits using conductive thread. Create a light-up backpack, tote bag, or zippered pouch to take home.

Create mobile apps with App Inventor programming language! Explore the basics of programming, testing, and debugging by building some simple apps, then design one of your own. Apps created will only run on Android devices, but owning one is NOT required for camp.

Enhance your Minecraft skills with code! Create events, build structures, and add new items to the game. Test your creations in a browser simulator or your Minecraft PC account.

If you’ve taken Beginning App Inventor or participated in the Technovation Challenge, explore more advanced features of App Inventor! Explore using lists, arrays, and sensors and databases, then build you own app using these components. Apps created will only run on Android devices, but owning one is NOT required for camp.

We’re partnering with Artistry to offer two camps exploring the collision of engineering and art! Make with Artistry teaching artists using cool tools and materials in The Workshop, create with Works Museum STEM educators in the studios at Artistry, or do both! Two organizations, two locations, two different camps — lots of fun.

Tips for Camp Registration:

  • Want a 5-day experience for your camper? Add on a Friday Fun Day to the regular camp week.
  • Want to try a 1-day experience? Register just for Friday Fun Days or look at our July 4th week camps.
  • The session you wanted is full? Get on the wait list to be notified if we’re able to add extra sessions.
  • Want a full-day experience? Register for an a.m. and p.m. camp. We supervise campers while they enjoy lunch from home and play between camps.
  • Drop-off begins at 8:30 for a.m. camps and at 12:30 for p.m. camps.
  • Pick-up is from 12-12:30 for a.m. camps and 4-4:15 for p.m. camps.
  • By registering for camp you attest that you have read and agree to the camp and cancellation policies of The Works Museum.
