Next Gen Engineers Club for 6th and 7th Graders

Does your child love to design, create and build? Do you want your 6th or 7th grader to meet mentors in exciting careers?

Next Gen Engineers is a 6-week program on Saturday afternoons in the fall at The Works Museum. Each Saturday session will introduce 6th and 7th graders to the real world of engineering through fun activities.

Program participants will:

  • Develop skills such as collaboration, persistence, and problem solving.

  • Meet and work with other 6th and 7th graders with similar interests.

  • Make a project that solves a real-world engineering problem and have fun doing it.

Program details:

  • The club will meet from 1-4 p.m. on October 7, 14, 28, November 4, 11, 18 (Note: no program on October 21 due to Teacher Conference weekend). Please note that there are no make-up sessions.

  • The club is open to students who will be in 6th or 7th grade this school year.

  • You will provide transportation for your participant. Participants can be dropped off 15 minutes before program start time and must be picked up 15 minutes after program end time.

  • Cost is $240 ($220 members) for all six 3-hour sessions. Full and partial scholarships are available.

  • Applications are due by September 29.
