Virtual Birthday Parties For Kids

When you can’t celebrate together in person, The Works Museum can bring the birthday party fun to you and your friends. We offer virtual birthday parties that bring kids together with hands-on engineering activities. 

When you book a 90–minute virtual birthday party with us, the birthday kid and up to 14 of their friends will enjoy an activity of their choosing, led by one of our museum staff. All materials will be provided to you ahead of time via curbside pickup so that you can distribute them to participating families. After your activity is complete, The Works Museum’s staff will make the birthday party household the host of the Zoom party for a minimum of an hour, leaving you time to open presents, play games, eat cake, or whatever else you want to do with your party.  

Virtual Birthday Parties include: 

  • A 30-minute engineering activity led by Museum staff 
  • Project materials for up to 15 children
  • A Works Museum t-shirt for the birthday child 
  • A sticker for the birthday child 
  • Birthday party invitations to print or email to friends 
  • 90 minutes of Zoom time 

Book a virtual party in April or May and get free YOXO sets for each attending child (and a big set for the birthday kid!).

Activity Options:

Kaleidoscopes

Make your own kaleidoscope and have fun exploring light, patterns, and reflections.  

Glow Dough

Measure, stir and mix up your own glow-in-the-dark slime to take home. 

Fling Flyers

Construct a foam glider flies that launches with a rubber band and flies an amazing distance!  

Mini-Catapults

Construct your own catapult with simple materials to see how far you can fling a marshmallow.  

Pricing: 

  • $125/$112.50 for members for up to 15 children. 
  • Extra material kits may be provided for an additional fee. 
  • A $30 deposit is required at the time of your reservation. Deposits are non-refundable.
