Sonia Krech-Jacobsen, Lead Camp Coordinator, has been inspiring children at The Works Museum for over eleven years. This summer she will be teaching Code Camp, Design-Make-Play, Tech Sampler, and many other camps. The late Marie Curie, a Polish scientist who was a pioneer in the study of radioactive materials, is her favorite scientist. In the classroom, Sonia enjoys seeing kids being amazed by feats of science and engineering. She likes to tell young engineers and scientists to “be persistent and pursue your dreams.” She really enjoys the variety, challenge, and constant learning involved with her work. Outside of being an educator, Sonia likes walking, biking, camping, watching Nascar, and home remodeling.
Have your child taught by Sonia and the many other great teachers at The Works Museum this summer!
