Museum Temporarily Closed

In light of the Minnesota Department of Health’s newest COVID-19 recommendations, The Works Museum is closed until further notice. Check back soon for updates!

We wish we could engineer with you in person, but we’re making the best of it with virtual camps that are packed with hands-on engineering.

You can still register for our July and August camps – we hope to host those camps in person, with recommended safety precautions. If we aren’t able to, we’ll make more virtual camps available.  As always, we’ll continue following the recommendations of Governor Walz and the Minnesota Department of Health, and will share changes to our plans as soon as we have more information.

An Update from The Works Museum

We are here for, and because of, each child, parent, grandparent, educator, volunteer, and supporter who share our commitment to providing all children with access to STEM education that encourages them to reach their full potential.

Now, more than ever, The Works Museum’s mission to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and creative problem solvers is absolutely critical. Today’s best minds and critical thinkers are diligently working on addressing our global crisis. Our work ensures that tomorrow’s best minds are inspired by the possibilities of STEM and the many ways engineers and scientists make our world a better and safer place.

The decision to temporarily close The Works Museum due to COVID-19 was one of the most difficult moments of our organization’s history. These days are uncertain, but our community is strong, persistent, and resilient, and we are optimistic for what our future will bring.

Wishing you good health,

Jill Measells
CEO, The Works Museum
