We’re so excited to announce that Tech Fest is back in person this year!

April 23, 2022 | 10 am – 2 pm

Tickets are $13, members get in free. Space is limited! Pre-register to guarantee your visit (members too!).
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tech Fest is our annual family event celebrating all things engineering and technology. This year we’re taking steps to scale back just a bit, asking families to pre-register and spacing out activities to ensure that visitors feel safe and comfortable attending the event.

At Tech Fest, we bring together all the areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) through activities and demos designed just for families. Visit with our partner organizations to learn about the many ways STEM impacts the world around us. With hands-on activities led by scientists, engineers, and educators, this special family day is a perfect opportunity to explore together.

Ready to plan your day? Here are a few tips from experienced Tech Fest families:

Come early. Tech Fest opens at 10 a.m. — this is a great time to have fast access to presenters.
Go at your own pace. All activities are open for the whole event, but you don’t have to do them all. See what inspires your young engineer and stay as long as you like at those activities.
Visit the Experience Gallery last – Tech Fest wraps up at 2 p.m., but the Museum is open until 4 p.m. You may exit and enter the Museum as you please – wrist bands are good for the entire day!

FAQ’s about Tech Fest:

Can I drop my kids off for the event?

No. Please remain in attendance with your children. All children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

How long should we plan to spend at Tech Fest?

Expect to spend one to two hours exploring Tech Fest activities, and allow additional time for exploring the Experience Gallery.

Can I leave the Museum and return again?

You can return to the Museum again on Tech Fest day with your Museum wristband.

Do I need to pre-register?

Pre-registration is encouraged! Visitors can purchase event tickets at the door for $13. Members are free, but pre-registration is still encouraged.

Can I use my discount coupon or free pass?

Sorry, but we don’t accept passes or coupons for Tech Fest.

Where should I park?

Free parking is available in our lot.

Can I bring my toddler?

Tech Fest is ideal for kids ages 4 and up. However, we see a lot of younger siblings. Just be aware that you will find small parts and other activities inappropriate for kids under 4.
